| Known as one of Asia's talented artists, Van Duong Thanh grew up in Hanoi and studied 12 years at Vietnam University of Fine Arts. Afterward, She works at the Institute for Cultural Research, Ministry of Culture since 1981 to five 1987. Thanh works and teaches art in both Sweden and Vietnam.

Since then, Many of her works have been 13 National Museum of Fine Arts in many countries like Vietnam, Thailand, India, China, Singapore, Ba Lan, Rumania, Moldavia, Spain and Sweden collected. Over 1.800 painting and 85 personal exhibition, She has inspired many domestic and international art lovers; especially students, student, children and people with disabilities. She was the first Vietnamese person recruited programme Excellent art international of CFMI – Snecma, USA – France twice every year 1995, 1997 and “Glory of Vietnam” year 2007 at the Temple of Literature, Awarded by the International Women's Leadership Network 2018 – 2019.
